KIRSTEN RØNDAL CLAUSEN

I am a professionally trained interior designer with a background in architecture and design, educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design. My early career was shaped in Copenhagen, where I built a strong foundation in residential architecture and interior design. Based in New York City since 2008, I have been equally focused on high-end residential design and high-end retail design.

Specializing in high-end residential projects across New York, The Hamptons, and Copenhagen. I create one-of-a-kind environments tailored to the individual. My work ranges from lofts in Tribeca and Soho to luxury high-rises and a rare landmarked building by the functionalist architect Kay Fisker. I build homes that reflect the soul of the person within.

I joined The Shade Store in 2014 as the company's Interior Designer and was promoted to Director of Retail Design in 2016. In 2019, I took the title of Director of Design and Development. I spearheaded showroom design and product display, supporting the company's growth from 11 to over 150 locations across the United States. I am highly experienced in creating luxury, scalable design concepts that are brand-focused and cost-efficient.
