A 1958 two-bedroom ranch, untouched for over six decades, gut renovated and transformed into a modern second home for a family with grown children, prioritizing an expansive open-concept layout for entertaining. The built-in garage was converted into a main suite and interior walls were removed to create a light-filled central kitchen-living space centered in the house. Every element was hand crafted, featuring bespoke millwork and handmade solid oak kitchen cabinetry. In the bath, a spacious walk-in shower replaced the original tub to meet modern standards of comfort. The exterior underwent a dramatic shift, with shingles painted deep black and new black-framed windows installed for a sharp, contemporary profile. The landscape was entirely reimagined as an extension of the living space: a west-facing front patio is now nestled behind tall, private grasses, while the rear features a patio framed by hydrangeas, lawn and evergreens. An enclosed outdoor shower serves as the final, functional touch to this holistic indoor-outdoor retreat.
